February 19, 1999 Sequel to the Forgotten Race The Games Over Hidden Secrets "I was there the second I sensed her danger!" Nik shouted at Nick as they paced the emergency room. "Sh-h-h," Nick hissed, "keep your voice down." Nik rolled her eyes, "Will you just relax, Knight!" She spoke in a language only the two of them would know. "I wasn't actually thinking, that this guy's bullets would go through me!" She snaps back, her fingers playing with the bullet holes in her shirt. The couple of people that sat around them kept sneaking glances at this young woman in jeans, an old faded brown T-shirt and a pair of torn, now wet sneakers from the snow. "You should have been ready for anything." Nick stopped as they met as they crossed paths. "You shouldn't have let her go into that warehouse by herself." She snapped back at her. "You should have been able to smell, let alone hear the mortals." She shoves him hard, naturally causing him to take several steps back. "What are we yelling about, we both know she's alright!" "Knight, what the hell happened out there?" Reese asks as he came storming into the waiting room. Nick gives the brunette a warning look and then turns his attention to the Captain just in time to see Vachon hurry in, who then sees them notices them and goes to Niks' side, taking her in his arms. "I - uh - Captain we were following a lead into the old warehouse on 186th St. we separated to cover more grounds, when I heard a scream and a gun shot. It happened so fast I…." "Okay, so what's her status, and further more who the hell are you?" Captain was looking at Nik who sat slumped in a chair with her feet on the edge of a coffee table, in deep thought. Vachon nudged her causing her to jerk alive, "Me?" Captain utters looking at her, "Yeah," Nik glances quickly at Nick who stood to the side of the Captain with a worn look on his face of hidden angry. "Tracy's guardian fallen angel." Vachon utters under his breath, with a hint of laughter to it. Nick groans rolling his eyes. "This isn't time for jokes—" "Excuse me," the doctor says, glancing quickly at Nik, and then at Nick and Vachon before at Reese. "I'm Doctor Angel Michaels and I'm the head surgeon around here and was responsible for removing the gun bullet from Detective Tracy Vetter. She's doing just fine, and is in recovery room now." Nik had jumped up going to the doctor's side nearly knocking Nick out of the way, "Everything's working right?" She says nearly cutting her off then rapidly becoming shy. Doctor Michaels smiles looking at Nik, "Yes everything is working." She puts a hand on the young ones shoulder, "She's in recovery right now and sleeping, I've arranged it so that you could see her." Nick response with shock pulling back Nik away with annoyance, You mean you hand your hands in her, you—?" Niks' mouth drops open in shock of his words and the tone of his words. The doctor smiles reaching into her male dress shirt pocket to bring forward a business card, "If you have any questions regarding my *personal* roll in this or any case, you can contact me at this number." She says with only a very slight hint of anger, which the three immortals could pick up on. Reese sighs with relief, "Great." He reaches forth to shake the Doctors hand, glancing at Nick. "Well that's just great," Reese beams' clapping his hands together. "If she wakes up while you're here, Knight tell her there's no rush for her to come back to work." He pulls out his car keys from his pockets; "I better get back to tell the rest of the crew the good news." He slugs Nick's shoulder before turning to leave. The doctor lowers her voice starting to speak in another language neither Nick or Vachon understood. It was obvious though, that Nik was in trouble. Not just by the childish look on Niks' face, or when she turned and dropped angrily into a chair. Nick raises his eyebrows glancing at Vachon who still sat in the same chair with a more relaxed look on his face now that he knew Tracy was okay. Nick didn't try to understand Nik's community, even drinks with Claudia, sort of a mutual friend of Nik's and someone who was rumored to be older then the Pyramids…. Older then Lacroix. Or so what Nik had told him, getting a straight answer out of Claudia about her origins was apparently impossible. Most of what Claudia told him had an affect on him, convinced him completely that Natalie becoming one of their kind was better. Nick realized that now, if he had been at any other place, if things were different, he could have - maybe been like them. To walk in the sun light, to go to the beach during the day. To just go out during the day and to see the sun. But then that brought up an entirely new batch of questions. Would he, could he be made mortal and could he brought back across as one of them? ********** "So what do I owe this visit, checking up on the shooter from the other night?" Lacroix says approaching his son with a drink in his hand. Nick turned around leaning against the bar looking onto the near empty club, "Who told you about the shooting?" Lacroix faced the bar; "I questioned the young Vachon when he came in here. He was, how would I say, taking it bad." "Really, he didn't say anything while he was there." "I also heard that your little friend saved Detective Vetter's life, taking the better grunt of the bullets." He peeked at his son out of the corner of his eyes; "You weren't there." Nick groaned, trying to deal with that himself, "No kidding, boy you're a smart one." he signaled for a drink. "Why Nicklas, that bad of a night." "I have a lot paper work still to be finished." "Is that all." Nick received his drink, "Is that all!" Nick nearly yelled it out, taking a drink of his special. "That just the tip of the ice burg." Lacroix smiled faintly remembering his last experience with an ice burg, and all those screams of terror and death. "Certainly there's been no social call then." Nick questioned as he took another sip, "Social call, by whom?" "By the good Doctor." Nick choked on the blood/wine drink, "Natalie - she was here." "I was not informed about her — change." "You didn't need to," Nick wipes his mouth with a napkin, he didn't want to ask but he knew he wouldn't be able to sleep if he didn't. "How did she look?" This time Lacroix smirk spread wider, "Stunning." A group of the other breed went by laughing, pointing and talking in that weird language at Lacroix. The group settled down at the end in a booth, a few stood dancing and ogling the mortals. "What was that about?" Nick asks glancing at his master. Lacroix glances away from the group, "I'm not sure yet, it's only just started. It's about me, obviously." Nick raised an eyebrow, "Glad to see you're getting picked on." Lacroix gave him a warning glance. Meanwhile at the abandoned Church two old friends sat slumped taking in each other and grumping about the problems at hand. Screed drops his bang to the floor crashing to what was a chair, "If I's didn't knows better I waos says you be kickin yours self fer not bein theres yourself, instead of soft beauty Nik." Vachon got up from his post grabbing his jacket. "Me thinks I hit one ders sore spot." Screed noted watching his comrade head for the door. "You've been hanging around with them veggie friends of hers too much." ***Close to the end of the night shift*** "She's doing fine?" Nick spun around startled to see Claudia, a somewhat tall-tanned skin, wide slightly slanted dark eyes hiding behind straight sooty colored hair. "You all should give a warning sign before you pop in on someone." He smiled at the dark beauty. Remembering there already many days deep in the earth some where, at her place, drinking and talking. Nick found out quickly that a lot of her kind took up residence in caves formed in rocks several feet under the ground and used their abilities to furnish the residence. Claudia smiles, wrapping her arms length wise around him leaning softly on his shoulder, "That would take all the fun out of surprising someone." Her voice was soft now, but he had heard it, while waiting out side of their club. Through all the other many noises of The Vampire Rave he could hear hers the most, loud and very strict and this was all when she spoke. He listened realizing that she was rather different, withdrawn when surrounded with a large group of her kind that were all so very much younger then herself. "She's alright." "I know, she's going home in a day or so." "Her dad is picking her up I gather." "Yes." Tracy rolled over in her sleep mumbling, "Nik get out of here what are you doing!" She softly cried out raising her hands up as if to stop some unseen force, "She's going to get herself killed and it will be on my head." Claudia looks at Nick, "Come on," she takes him by the arm and leads him into the stairwell. "Nik can't enter dreams, some of us can, but Nik can't since she only takes a human once … twice a month." Again Claudia answers the thought, "You know from experience that's not enough, far not enough to be able to fully use all your capable of doing." She sat down on a step smoothing out the tan leather short skirt revealing the long forever-smooth legs. Nick willed himself to look away from her as a surprise hungry to exchange came over him, he still wasn't use to the women of this race was something else entirely. He was well aware that Claudia knew this, knew that he found the women, the few that he has met, rather fascinating. Rather reputedly Claudia brings to Nick's attention, distracting Nick from the discomfort of wanting to taste her. "Nik has the ability to erase, rather, hypnotize but only is she's eaten lately. So if she wants to she can erase the knowledge of either of our kind existing." She says coldly and with an odd sense of emotionless. A trait Nick had become quick to notice. He stands there adjusting his shirt collar that was taunt around the neck, "I'll consider that," Nick looks back over at her, "Thanks, I'll keep it in mind. I'm sure Nik won't listen to be but I can certainly threaten her." Claudia smiles up at him, shaking his head. "Be careful, she's won't stand for being walked all over like the other one. " She thought for a moment, "What was his name… Javier something." Nick laughs lightly, the first good feeling since two days ago when Tracy made a joke about President Clinton. Little did she know that in few hours she'd be in a hospital and know about another breed of vampires. "For being here, for sharing me the information I so needed." Claudia laughs waving it off at him, then sudden, like as if the plate was wiped clean, "I have bad news though." Nick frowned again, "What?" Suddenly worried, knowing that if Claudia thought it was bad news it was more then just 'bad news'. "I over heard — well actually where I sit, over hearing is a thing of mortal days." Nick rested an arm on the banister, "Go on." Preparing for the worse, which lately he didn't want to even think about for a second. "Have you heard from Nik." "No." Claudia looks away from his blue eyes, "Have I ever told you how much I miss actually having a colour in my eyes that wasn't some shade of red." This was a first with Nick; Claudia was actually avoiding eye contact. Usually, she would just come out and say it no matter what it was. This didn't help to ease Nick's conscious. Nick rolled his eyes, "You're stalling and you're not looking at me. This must be just what I thought, incredibly horrible news." Claudia stood up looking finally into his eyes, "Good part is you can't kill her, but I'm sure Nik's planning on pushing Tracy over the edge." It hit him like a gun bullet, knocking him back a step or to before he sailed down the stairs. Claudia rolls her own eyes slowly following him, throwing her hands in the air. "I wonder if it's possible if someone will ever take that news as being good." "What the fuck do you think you're doing. You're not going to be able to hurt her in any way, you don't have any - poison." Nick's own eyes glowed with fury, "What do you think I'm doing!" Nick raised his hand to throw her to the side as he hovered high above the hospital. Claudia caught his hand started tightening her grip on it as she drove her always-sharp nails into his flesh, "You don't know the situation Nicklas, you're not the only one this has affected." Nick began to struggle under her strength that was causing his much valuable blood to trickle out. "I understand completely." He growled furiously. Claudia didn't react to his attempt to get away, "Surprisingly enough Tracy and Nik have become incredibly close —." She swung his arm up high behind him on his back, pulling his head back as she put her other arm under his chin. "That doesn't mean Nik has to make her a vampire." He snarled back at her unchanged face, trapped in the position. Claudia threw him back yelling at him, "For God sake Nick! Nik loves her — vampire love!" Now her eyes were beginning to show signs of colour change. "You know about our kind of love. Or at least you did with Jannette!" Nick flew a head of her with still one thing on his mind. Claudia kept on him grabbing a hold of his coat tails as it blew back in the wind. "She's just a kid Nicklas, surely you remember what that's like and to be in love and be a vampire. Nik doesn't want to loose her like you did with Lambert. It's how she is - how we are." Nick yanked his coat from her grasps, "What is that suppose to mean, the way I lose Natalie?" He glares icily back at her. Claudia looked away shaking her head, for she saw all of her families' troubles in his eyes. The where we go from here looks, the lost friends and lovers look, so many looks that still makes someone of Claudia's age cry. Luckily she had learned to accept her situation centuries ago; this was her, a vampire. No biggie, she had made it threw worse times, she'll last. Or so she hoped. "Further more," even though his temper was calming the glow in his eye still remained. "she's no kid, I'm sure you know that." "She's only a mere three hundred and forty-one, Nick. A child still in my comminute, a teenager as we call her age range." Claudia pulled the long worn coat she wore around her body from flapping in the wind. "Nik will bring someone across without thinking about what damage it will cause, it's what vampires do Nicklas." "You may call her what ever you want but a mere grounding for several centuries is not going to be appropriate here." He shouted the rage that was suddenly there, " Obviously you guys have no control over your own kids, something needs to be done. You can't have them going around making vampires recklessly!" That got to Claudia, her eyes all glazed over to an empty blackness and so when she spoke the long canines that were twice as long as his warned him he was in for trouble. "No control!" She roared as a sudden blast of wind struck Nick causing him to be sent several miles back. Followed by a bright light like the sun's own flashed several times at Nick, just enough to send a harsh stinging through Nick. He landed hard on a building knocking over several valuable steel pipes grabbing his face in pain, he cried out. "No control, we just don't sit on our ass waiting to see like you guys." Claudia's voice came at him from all directions, what he had noticed would happen when they would take complete shelter and be utterly invisible in the shadows. "Claudia." Nicks shouts back rubbing at his eyes trying to focus his other abilities on her exact position. A pair of hands gripped the back of him and flung him again this time far further. "Claudia. Stop! I can't win… Listen to me, Nik's maker — " "Didn't live long enough to teach Nik anything, she doesn't even know his name nor what he looked like. Is that what you wanted to hear." Nick didn't know what to say he wouldn't stand for Tracy coming across. At that moment he wasn't in any position to argue or fight with any other of her family. ***A few nights later*** "Come on Nikkers, you need some amusement. The Raven is just what you need." She laughed mockingly, "Where else can you see someone lower on your class level be so humiliated." "Oh come on, what I need—." "Is a tall strong gorgeous hunk." "Well we're not going to find any in here," Nik followed her some what friend into the loud but no far as crowded as The Vampire Rave. The blond beauty looked onto the small crowd, ignored the glares from the other breed and flirted with the men. "Well I see a couple I wouldn't mind spending a day or two with torturing or exchanging with." Her eyes glimmer with a red glow behind the green contacts. Nik rolled her eyes pushing her on down the landing, "Come on Sec, you've already killed like eighty people already it's only Friday morning." Secret rolls her eyes, "What can I say I was feeling board." She makes a quick glance at the bartender who then shakes it off reaching below the counter. Nik groaned dropping to the stool, "No you torture people when you're board, you were just being a pig." Secret smiles leaning against this ragged mopping guy with hair that looked like it hadn't seen a comb in weeks, "What do you think?" Vachon glared over at her through half shut eyes, then over to Nik and back again. "What the fuck do I care?" Secret laughs, facing the crowd sliding her hand along his waist line to his crotch, "I don't give a shit what you care, I was just making conversation." He harshly removed her hand, "Look, you back the fuck away from me. I'm not in the mood." Nik shook her head, "Not good wording." Secret smirked, revealing the tips of her fangs. "Well… I think that can be fixed." "What language am I speaking here, I'm not in the mood." Vachon snarls back at her. Secret leans back surprised but not halted, "I'm just stubborn." "And board." Nik adds sipping on her drink of the houses special, turning up her nose to the stench of the alcohol contained within the drink. Vachon sighs getting up and moving to the other end of the bar. Secret laughs mockingly as Nik drops her head into her arms, a second before a loud shot came from the back Vachon appeared next to Secret. Vachon raises an eyebrow, "Good trick, now make yourself disappear." "Na-a, that's over rated." "Do we have a situation here?" Lacroix's voice came from behind them. Secret glance at him and burst out laughing, slugging the guy in the process. "Oh man, Nikkers. You're right, I did make a pig of myself, I can read this guy like an open book." "But you said you can't read us?" Vachon stares at Nik open jaw and arched eyebrows. Nik holds up her hand, "Yeah we can't read your thoughts but some of us can sense certain things about you, but even then they're — Oh, fuck Secret can read him only because she's beat vampire death and in my family that's a fucking big deal, kay." She says finishing her drink and ordering another two for herself. Secret were running her hands around Lacroix as she walked around him, sliding her shapely figure against his. "We don't need any sort of —" In a blur Secret had grabbed Lacroix's wrist and was holding over his heart and was pressing him against the bar leaning into him, her lips brushed against his. "Too late," Vachon picked up his drink and moved away from the action, Nik close on his heals with her own drinks, gulping them back after the other. It was obvious Lacroix was getting some sort of enjoyment out of this, "You would be who?" he glared at her. Secret smirked, showing off her own canines, "They call me Secret now but in the family they call me Salvatore." "Here's a word of advice, don't call her Sal?" Nik says getting more drinks, not paying attention to what they were doing. "She'll put you out on a clothes line at noon." Lacroix look back at her, not fighting the position they were in. End of Sec 01 Start of Sec 2 "Okay who's here?" Nick says entering his loft throwing the keys in their usual position and dropping the stack of files he'd have to go through on the table. "Nik if that's you, you've got some real nerve if you think you're going to change Tracy." Gasps a voice from the few shadows that lingered in the loft, "Nik's going to change Tracy!" Nick turned around, recognizing the voice. "Yeah, she was in… well Nik sort of —" "I know, I visited Tracy at her apartment." Natalie stepped out from the darkness wearing a black and blood red very naughty nightie. Nick's jaw drops instantly, "Nat…" "The same sort of response Tracy had," She smiles, her own eyes starting to glow a soft read. Then a smirk came to her lips and before Nick knew it he was standing there naked. Nat laughs, "New game, Nick." "So it seems." He says coming to her but she ducked away. Nat laughs, "I think I'm going to like this new game much better then the old." Nick growls angrily as he takes an attempt to grab her but once again she used her own new abilities to dodge his old abilities. Nat laughs leaning over just enough so that part of her breast was showing, "I told Tracy." "That's good," Nick had already started thinking with the other organ, even though it hadn't worked for centuries. Nat laughs at him, "Not the response I was figuring on getting but… I figured the way Nik was talking to Scott she was going to spill the blood in due time." Nick shook his head, trying to swallow Natalie's entire new look. "What?" Nat's devilish smirk spread even wider as she pealed off the garment entirely exposing her tightened, perky and toned body, "I knew Nik would come to tell Tracy, considering how she feels about the girl." She says stepping into Nick's arms feeling herself sink, letting out a sound of internal glee. "So I told her about myself and …. You." Nick stared into her darkening red eyes as his own sawn gold, "You look so - so - gorgeous." Nat wrapped her arms around him weaving her hands into his hair, "You know if you're not comfortable with Tracy knowing about you I can erase the knowledge from her." She beamed even wider when she said this. Nick wet his lips, "Tracy knows about me, you?" "Yeah." "And?" Nick wasn't really concerned with that matter at the moment, however, he was concerned about what he was going to tell work in the morning… and for the following few weeks at least. Nat shrugged, "Well, she didn't throw anything at me or try to stake me. She's hurt though, about Nik. But at the same time she is thankful she was there, and scared that some day she won't have someone there to step in and take a few bullets for her." "You read this from her, I gather?" Nat couldn't resist any longer and pressed her lips down forcefully on his, where Nick slid his hands down to her ass. He jerked when he felt her fangs on his bottom lip, felt her tongue do a dance with his then extend farther back into his mouth with all her new powers. Then he heard it, a purring sound, something of a cat-a lion. We'll just try something here, Nick thought grinding his cock against Natalie's pussy, which increased the purring and Nat's increased the pressure in the kiss. Nat's purring. He concluded, nearly laughing. Her canines rubbed harshly against his gums tearing at the flesh causing the blood to spurt out that Natalie greedily lapsed up. Nick thought to himself, My Natalie is s vampire! It hit hard causing him to jerk back from the kiss, glancing into her red eyes and at her bloodied teeth. For a moment they just stared at each other, seemingly it was for hours. "Incroyable." Nick muttered. Nat smiled softly, touching his face. Sliding them down his chest playing amongst the blond hair. "So…you want to keep going?" Nick grinned taking her up into his arms, swooping up into the bedroom and slamming her onto the bed and pouncing on top of her playfully growling at as his hands roamed this seemingly new body. "Oh what do you think." Nat braided her hands threw his hair as his mouth lightly, at first, chewed on her flesh and his tongue grazed it's way across her invigorated body. Even though her body was no longer capable of having orgasms and monthly visitors she felt the new body of hers—her entire being, have it's own ecstasy. Her back arched as the thirst for him grew to incomprehensible strength, her nails was literally ripping at the sheets. She growls grasping a clump of his hair, "Nick" She screamed her voice harsh and raspy. Nick was at the same point, snarling himself, finally as he licked at her pussy he bit as the flesh of the mound. Nat roared shattering the near by glass as he dove his canines into her flesh. Tracy says moving slowly; "It's a good thing you were there, even though I'm not sure how you knew I was in trouble if you weren't actually there to begin with?" She takes a big sip of chocolate cappuccino, savoring it before she swallowed. A peace offering; along with special Paris, France chocolates. "Good choice of peace offerings, though." She beamed greedily helping herself to yet another piece of chocolate. Nik shrugged glancing away from her, "I know how difficult it can be, Secret has these mort - er - normal friends that have these certain abilities and they had a real hard time dealing with The Forgotten Races. You seem to be taking it pretty well." Tracy does a second take, "Secrets a…vampire!" Nik looks at her, "Unfortunately. But you didn't here that from me." She glances out the window, "Trace I'm sorry but I didn't think it would end up like this, honestly I didn't know what was going to happen. Honestly, really. I didn't plan on us becoming so close so fast, really I didn't influence you in any way." Nik pouted, getting up and going to the sink where she ran the hot water quickly becoming boiling. Tracy watches her friend as she starts the stack of dishes for her, Thank God for vampires, or my place would be a pigpen. She thought. Nik drops some dirty dishes into the water, "You get pretty good real fast at acting normal, it's part of the game." Nik shrugged beginning to wash some dishes. Tracy plays with the wrapping of one of the chocolates eating another, "Apparently so, I didn't even make the connection between Nick and Vachon." Nik laughs, "They're both very protective of you." "Natalie told me." "Natalie?" Tracy sighs, "Come on I know the *entire* story…" Nik slumped against the counter, "She told you?" "She said that she owed me the truth." "Hey, don't give me that look!" She points a fork at her, "It's not my place to go around telling you who's all vamps." She turns back around, waiting a few moments before continuing on. "So you do know that Nick didn't tell you since he wanted to protect you, he doesn't want to put another partner into earlier retirement." Tracy whimpered eating a few more chocolates and fixing herself another drink, "I know… I'm dealing." "No you're not, you're at war with yourself you don't know how to handle it. You just want to scream, so scream." Tracy gawked at her. Nik smiled and shrugged, "Okay so I read minds when someone needs it." Tracy shook the spoon at her, "No, lucky guess. You can't read minds." Nik mocks her, "Oh yeah, Tracy. How do you think you can now look at a dead body without puking?" Tracy turns to her, "Easy I got over it?" Nik smirked, shaking her head. "No you got hypnotized. Tracy rubs her face tiredly, still not fully believing her. "Due to the circumstances I felt it was necessary but I usually trust my friends privacy not to invade their thoughts. Mostly because I don't eat enough that requires to do something like that." Silence. "Hell right now Secret's probably torturing the owner of The Raven…still." Tracy thought briefly, "That tall pale guy that seems to walk without a sound…he's always crepes me out." Nik bursts out a laugh; "He creeps a lot of people out." "So is he?" Nik shrugged, keeping a straight face. "I'm not sure, I'm not as strong as the others but I make due with what I'm willing to do. There's a lot of rumors going around about that nut case." "You seem pretty strong enough to take a few bullets for me, which I never really thanked you for." Nik waves the towel at her drying off some of the dishes, "I had to, Nick seemed to be on another planet." She hands them to Tracy who puts them where they belong. "That and the fact that I don't want to loose you." Tracy touches Nik's hand, "Oh, thanks." She takes the bowl, "I'm sure it won't be for awhile. At least I know why Nick always seems to zone out now." "He trance out a lot, I know a lot that do that. Venge out remembering the old days, got love those flashbacks." Nik groans sarcastically. "But as I always tell myself, you can't live in the past." "So I've noticed." Nik throws in the towel, "Finished. The rest can air dry." She claps her hand. "So you want to go some where?" A smile spreads across her face. Tracy laughs, "Is this how it's going to be?" The smile left rather fast, "No, eventually the games going to be over." "The game?" "Yeah the game of life." "Oh," Nik laughs, "You're tired so if you just want to sleep that's cool. I only have a few hours before I have to be in class." Tracy gasps, "So you do actually go." This time Nik gasps, "No Trace I went to the effort of putting individual thoughts into all my friends just for you." Tracy stood up draining the last of her drink, putting aside the tin of this certain flavors. "Okay, I was just checking." Nik stood there watching Tracy put away the box of chocolates, but not before grabbing two of them. Nik quickly stepped to the balcony window. "You want to take me flying or something?" Tracy asks stepping next to her. "You're crying, I've never seen tears so red." Nik laughs, wiping away the blood tears. "Funny how blood is red." Tracy swallows, "You cry…" "I gather Vachon's to man to cry around you." Tracy shrugs handing her a tissue, "Gez-z, I though I had it bad. Here you're crying, what can a vampire have to cry about?" Nik laughs, "Do want the list in point form, alphabetical or just at random?" Tracy steps away going to the sofa, pulling the comforter over her, "I guess now we can really have a bitch fest." Nik bursts out laughing dropping next to her; "You want to get anything off your chest?" Tracy groans, "My mother and father can decide who's to blame for their little girl becoming a cop, my father is demanding that I look into getting a more safer job. And my partner and our friendly corner is a vamp—" "Our relationship won't be the same as yours and Vachon, I'll take you any where in the world…we can even spy on celebrities. Just as long as I can still be with you." Nik blurts out. "Uh-h, okay." Vachon had noticed twenty minutes earlier that Nik had left but a replacement had been found, he was laid back one, shy and quiet but was the first to introduce himself as Scott. "She always like this?" Vachon asks as him and Scott sat at the bar drinking their zillionth glass off what Vachon had noticed was different from what he had been drinking in that there was no alcohol or chemicals usually found in The Raven's drinks. Scott matched Vachon's body in the mope and drink routine, "Pretty much." They were listening in as Secret and Lacroix exchanged blood and explored each other. Scott laughs shaking his head, "There's going to be one hell of a fight if I know my sister." Scott says taking back another drink. Vachon turned to the blond sporting a backward baseball hat; "You mean blood sister right?" Scott chuckled, "If only it was that simple, na-a. Sec was reborn like forty some odd years ago." Vachon turned to face him, "Really?" "Don't believe me do you?" "Not really." Scott shrugged, "I guess she was seriously board before and decided to do it, she was still a v-v-v … you know." He shrugged sheepishly, glancing at his company. "They just didn't figure on it being twins." "Twins!" Vachon's glared at him in disbelief. Scott hangs his head shaking it, "Secret's just like the rest of us, she goes through these months were she's real bad and other times she's a saint, other time it's both." "Sounds like a riot." Vachon rolls his eyes notioning for two more drinks. "So how long have you known Nik, or is it a new thing?" "New thing, and you?" "Roughly six - eight years," Vachon nodded. Scott groaned shaking his head, "Damn it now what?" His entire body shakes for a moment before returning to normal. Vachon ogles at him half worried and half curious, "What, you okay?" Scott waves it off, "Just experiencing separation." He says as he rubs his ruby eyes. "Of what?" "I just made my first… daughter." "Oh." "I think she knows you, or at least she might of." Vachon glanced at him as he reached for a bottle just placed in front of them. "It's Javier Vachon, right?" "Yeah," Scott nodded his head, "Yeah, you're the one. Natalie Lambert." Vachon nearly choked on the blood; "You brought her across!" Scott glared at him in shock, "I don't look like I could do a good job do I, Sec said the same thing." "No, it's not that. Its just that well, Knight and all." Scott looks away; "Yeah, so far he hasn't said anything to me. But then again our paths haven't really crossed and I plan on disappearing if we ever do." He takes a sip of his drink reaching into his pocket pulling out a wad of cash, getting the bar tender over. "His too." He nodded at Vachon. "Where the fuck did you get all that cash, you rob a bank?" "Na, just one of the more enjoyable abilities we have." He says handing the wad over. "What you can make money appear." Vachon says jokingly taking a swing of the red liquid. Scott says blankly, "Yeah." Vachon gagged on the blood. "No shit, you're joking!" "'Fraid not, you need some?" At that moment Secret came running out laughing hysterically, clothes looked to be thrown on and holding Lacroix's. She threw them over the bar, easily leaping over the railing of the landing of the front door. Lacroix came running after her with a different set of clothes thrown on and eyes of pure rage. "Someone's in for it," Vachon commented. "And yeah I could always use some." Scott sighs, not paying attention to his sisters stunt, "That's our Secret, shit-disturber. Check your front pockets." Secret stood there notioning him to continue the tackle, "Come on you old crow, let's go get those clothes dirty in a old vampire fight." Her contacts were out allowing the true beauty out, eyes a dark red with no iris. The beauty mark below her eye left right was splashed with some ones blood. "Shit, remind me to make more friends with you guys." Vachon pulls out a nice handful out of one pocket. Lacroix snarled up at her, "Child you have no ideal of the trouble you're in." She mocked him with her laughter; "Tables have turned old man, feeling a little helpless like you make Nicklas feel?" "This is about Knight, what does —" "Sec killed those two kids several months back…" "Oh," Vachon says watching the action as everyone else was. Whispers of who would win and who does she think she is and others started floating threw the growing crowd, a long with betting odds. Lacroix leaped after her but she had vanished causing him to fall into the door and break it off, he quickly spun around in search of her. Then she appeared sitting casually on the edge of the bar, "My first born could do better then that," She laughed mocking and pointing at him, "then again, it doesn't usually come down to a fight when you're the better race." "She's pushing him on." Vachon utters. Lacroix again went after her. It happened in a blur. Lacroix thrown half over the bar with a Gothic looking knife embedded in his back over the heart, and his skin quickly not looking normal. End
