This fanfic is for all of those feeling sorta exhausted, I hope this makes you feel just a little better. In An Exhausted Mood (01/01) Six people sat around the table in the dim light of the Raven. Four vampires sat around the table in the dim light of the Raven. Two Mortals sat around the table in the dim light of the Raven. And they were all tired. The hands of Nick and Nat were holding as they sat beside each other. Nat's head on Nick's shoulder, her body in a total state of exhaustion. Nick took a sip of blood from a glass in front of him and held her closer to his cold body. Janette and LaCroix however were keeping a little distant from each other. She occasionally had looked into her father's eyes, wondered about what he thought and returned to her own thoughts. Her gazes turned into stares. Her stares turned into a blink. A vision turned into a dream. As Tracy did hold Vachon closer to her heart, she did feel a sense of sadness within her soul. He held her in his arms trying to keep her there, safe from the elements of the outside world. He wondered as to the real meaning of what was going on and turned back to his own problems. "Depressing night?" LaCroix asked. The question had come out of the blue trying to poke at what everyone else was thinking about around him. He shifted in his seat, crossed his arms over his chest and awaited an answer. "A mere condition of exhaustion," Nick replied. "That's all." Vachon looked at Nat who was now being jolted back to reality from her sleepy world. "And a lack of food," Vachon smiled trying to hold Tracy tighter. Janette held her head in her hands. "I feel like my head's just been hit by a lead pipe..." she mumbled off. "That's called 'exhaustion', my dear," LaCroix told her taking another sip of blood from his glass. "What time is it?" Janette asked rubbing her temples with her fingers. "Five thirty-seven p.m.," Natalie replied after checking her watch with a tired look. "Almost time for work.." "C'mon honey," Nick called Nat helping her up. "Time to get to work." She sighed and accepted the help of Nick helping her up. "More dead bodies.." she sighed as she stood fully upright, taking a stretch. "Don't forget to check for punctures on the neck," Janette grinned through a slight smile. Nat gave a look back to the rest of the group. "I'll be sure to phone if there's any problems..." "Trace, you coming?" Nick asked. "I've got to go," she whispered to Vachon The two kissed each other on the lips as Tracy got up. Vachon looked at her and waved goodbye to her as he continued sitting in his chair. "See you all later!" Vachon waved a slight motion with his hand. "'Til tomorrow," Janette smiled. "Au revoir," LaCroix waved goodbye going into the back to get a drink. After Janette saw that the trio left the club, she turned to Vachon. "So Vachon. Want a drink?" she asked taking a bottle of blood into her hands. "Sure," he grinned putting his glass on the table. LaCroix smiled from his booth in the back as he looked at the two talking to each other and turned on his broadcast. "Good evening, my children of the night. The sun is now setting, creeping beyond the horizon into his nightly sleep. The moon is rising to let us bask in her glow. Let the tiredness of the day pass by. Let the strength of the night emerge into your souls. Depression shall fade into a new found happiness. Last night gave all of us tiredness that we could get, and this lasted through the day. Let sadness be gone and happiness rise. Let us drink, dance, work, and play. Tonight, my gentle listeners, is just another night to party..." ~The End~ Mir specmir@home.com
