ON CHERRY BEACH

Memories
Warm though the wind
Does not discomfort
An already frozen heart

Lonely
Waves lap against rocks
Singing hymns in perfect eulogy
With distant city sounds

Drifting
Time travels paths
Unmarked as to the future
Darkness like a night

Unthinkable
Ending for the one
Buried deep beneath the sand
Leaving alone the one dancing

Grieving
On an unmarked grave
Sharing a final drink
Toasting past times

Promising
A reunion in Hell's depths
When fate intervenes again
Cutting short eternity
